Creative Future post 16 (essay of Bradford Animation Festival post 1)


Introduction

Anime comic is a fresh noun, which can be defined as combined by animation and comic, course of the excellent stories and paintings that was sought after by people formerly. Followed the development of technology, in 60s of last century, comic gradually enter the fried of technology, which started to use continuous movements to took shape step by step based on the technology in order to start stories, beside, it can be added by diverse new techniques such as digital art, CG, movie effect and stop motion, which became an anime comic. And the name “ParaNorman” that the title has been mentioned is a stop motion movie in Bradford Animation Festival, which especially impressed me. As below, we will follow the four days communications and visits in Bradford Animation Festival, go into the interesting world of ParaNorman, to describe the high technologies and explore the future of anime comic. 

Bradford Animation Festival is in the National Media Museum of the Bradford that is the town in UK, next to the Leeds that is the city of UK. And the Bradford Festival 2012 is the nineteenth longest animation festival in UK, which has great supporting of Bradford as usual. The Festival Director Singleton (2012) said this year’s festival gives us the opportunity to tap into the expertise of industry professionals, take part in practical workshop, and catch the latest in animation from around the world, join them in celebrating some of legends of animation and network with other animators and game enthusiasts. BAF (Bradford Animation Festival) Game is their series of inspiring industry talks and workshops dedicated to exploring the overlaps between the worlds of video games, animation and film. Now in its eighth year, BAF Game is organized in strong partnership with the University of Bradford and Game Republic. ParaNorman is the one that the deepest impressed me of all of them, which comes form Mark Shapiro-LAIKA. After the introduction of BAF, lei us step into the magic movie together.
